I am a long-time supporter of the Tennessee Baptist Children's Homes through prayer, personal financial contributions, and fundraising. My first opportunity to raise funds came in 2009 when TBCH started asking participants in their annual Run4Kids 5k race to enlist financial sponsors for participation in the race. From 2009 through 2017, I was able to contribute $28,800, thanks to the generosity of many friends. In 2018, I set a goal of $6,200 in an effort to reach a total of $35,000 over a 10-year. However, TBCH decided to discontinue the race in 2018. Before the race was cancelled, TBCH had begun an annual fundraising event called "I Cared for One" I was able to make personal contributions and also enlist a small group of people each year to attend the event and make their contributions. Because of the pandemic, TBCH has offered an opportunity for volunteer fundraisers to solicit support through online giving. I am grateful to be a participating fundraising, and hope that you will help me reach my goal of raising $6,200.
